I’m a true light green non-tree hugging real estate junkie addicted to hgtv and anything on before and afters whether it be homes or people or food or even cars I love to see how things are done behind the scenes.
Throw in a little bit of last minute drama and viola the end product with happy smiling people laughing and crying- sometimes turning out good and sometimes not so- and I’m hooked!
This is why I believe I've been drawn to real estate - the ability to make a persons true potential come out of hiding and a happy ending turns into a new begging,when I hand them over the shiny new keys to their new and current ‘dream home” .
Flash to the back story of their life when they were in transition and then the growth period of looking and trying on new personalities until one day a perfect home jumps out and the rest is history in the making.
My love affair with homes came during childhood when i would rearrange my room and redecorate it over and over again.
Inspired by my mothers architectural digests and house and garden magazines and living in a glass walled house overlooking the ocean filled with modern furniture and art and paintings and sculpture and dream of my future home decorated with all the beautiful things I saw.
My first attempt at redoing my entire room included painting the walls a bright lemony yellow to match my parakeet and next came the shades I made by gluing fabric over the plain white ones and then sewing a bedspread to match.
Eventually the bird died and then I started all over again.
I still love architecture and design and furniture and landscaping and art.
I was accepted into Art Center College of Design in Pasadena two days after graduating from Chadwick in Palos Verdes i packed my bags.I just turned seventeen.
it was heaven surrounded by the design world and learning from the best.My secret vice was sneaking over to the automotive design department and peeking at all the sketches and models of future cars.
My roomate was up late buidling architectural models as an environmental designer. I was hooked!
Flash forward to my current life as a real estate junkie which led me to get my Agents license and sell to my original circle of art and entertainment and feng shui clients.I became an artist rep and moved to Beverly hills into the top floor of an old spanish apartment that had an ice box for putting ice blocks to make the food cold! I used the oven as storage for my art books.
I wandered the famous beverly hills flats palm tree lined streets looking at the variety of architecture.
And eventually became an assistant at a boutique real estate agency in Beverly Hills that catered to jet setters and a celebrity clientel.It set the stage for combining my talents and then and there i decided use my love of homes and turn it into a career.
